What design changes have been made from the LR5 and what design foils do you plan to use?
Todd, New hull shape. Looks somewhat similar to the LR5, but is a bit less draggy, more fore-aft stability, And a whole new foil package with a soft Z board and the current L-rudders I've been building.
Oops, new lifting rudders too.
Sounds awesome. I look forward to following the build.
Hi there, RR and MP are good friends of mine here in NZ. I'm really enjoying the build photos. This is almost the same method that I used building my own A Cat. I'm looking forward to the launch of the LR 6 and knowing how many hours RR has put into the design it's going to be a fast boat! :-)
Just one question, do you have any ideas on the price for a set of z foils?
Keep up the good work!
I Don't have the file yet, so I don't know whether I'll do a double ended mold or a port and st'bd mold. Hope to be at around $1,500. US for a pair, but it's mold costs to consider.
Can you explain the 'soft' z foils? Is that a soft angle or are they designed to be bendy?
Are you building beams this time?
Will you be selling this (LR6) the same way you sell the LR 4/5 ? If so would be interested in buying and building one over here in the UK
